Dear GO supporters and friends, we are pleased to announce that GO FREIGHT is live.
We are the first on-demand freight forwarding platform with a trusted freight forwarder network for B2B freight shipments across ASEAN and beyond. GO FREIGHT launches with on-demand search, quotations and bookings to over 37 destinations across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Hong Kong and China. We plan double the number of destinations over the next twelve months.
Businesses today face unprecedented opportunities and challenges. Business customers have been increasingly demanding for a solution to improve their ability to quickly respond to end-consumer demand across the region. Trade volumes across ASEAN already ship over 90 million TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent unit) and 5 million tonnes of ocean and air freight annually. This is set to further grow with rising urbanisation, higher disposable incomes and consumer demand.
Growing intra-regional and global trade has translated into a huge challenge for the logistics industry to develop and adopt new technologies that can simultaneously address customer issues individually and at scale. Many freight forwarders continue to use time-consuming and multiple manual processes to quote and process import and export shipments. This creates supply chain delays of up to 4-8 days and is mismatched to customer needs for Lazada or Alibaba-like speed to market.
We created GO FREIGHT that meets the needs of customers and freight forwarders for a new online way to manage their supply chain. Through GO FREIGHT, customers can access online freight forwarding services anywhere, anytime. GO FREIGHT puts customers in control of their supply chain, with on-demand services that include:
– Instant competitive quotations to over 12 destinations
– Custom quotations available to a further 25 destinations across Asia
– Quotation to booking turnaround in 1-2 days instead of 4-8 days
– GO’s exclusive GO N3twork of trusted freight forwarders for reliable service delivery
– On-demand shipment tracking from start to end
Au Kah Soon, CEO of GO, said “Businesses and the logistics service providers can reap huge benefits by using online platforms to take advantage of fast-growing regional trade and e-commerce trends. The GO FREIGHT platform addresses the urgent need for supply chains to digitalise in order to match the speed of doing business today and the future. Customers get instant services, flexibility and tracking of their shipments on one platform. Meanwhile, forwarders join a broadened network and a new online sales channel at no additional cost.”
GO and GO FREIGHT will incorporate new destinations, features and products in the coming months. This includes cross-promotion of GO FREIGHT on the Fast Track Trade platform, Singapore’s first digital trade platform for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) using blockchain technology.
